Page Turners Book Club

The Page Turners Book Club meets monthly at the Library.
New members are always welcome!
All meetings are from 6:00 to 7:45 pm.

The library can obtain copies of books for interested patrons prior to the Page Turners Meeting. Call or stop by to reserve your copy of the current book.

Love to Read But Can’t Get to the Library? 

Home-bound seniors can have books, audio books and CDs delivered to their homes.

A joint project of he Hillside Public Library and the Hillside Senior Citizens Center.

Call the Reference Librarian at 973.923.4413 to request delivery and selections.

Services for the Visually Impaired and Blind

Hillside Public Library offers a number of options for patrons blind or visually impaired.  Our Kurzweil software scans in any typewritten document and reads the document aloud to the patron.

 

We also have 2 types of magnifiers.  The first, the software-based Zoomtext, reads any computer-generated documents and files, including web/internet pages. Our other magnifier allows the user to increase the print size on documents and books.

Large Print Books
The Library has a wide variety fiction and non-fiction books in large type. Specific titles, may also be requested from other libraries. 

Audio Books
Varied selection of fiction and non-fiction in cassette and CD formats is available. Specific titles, may also be requested from other libraries. 

World Language Collection
Books in Spanish and Portuguese, in fiction, non-fiction, health and other topics are available. Specific titles may also be requested from other libraries. 

Libros en Espaņol
Ahora disponible: Ficion, novelas, como protejer a su bebe y mās. Solo pregunte a la bibliotecaria y con gusto le ayudara!

 

Video Viewing Station

 Professional development videos available for viewing on-site. Topics include:
